For more than 20 years, this work has taken me from mountain resorts and Midwestern main streets to tropical coastlines and commercial sets around the world. Discovery is still the part that pulls me in. Sometimes a place announces itself through an epic view or an unmistakable sense of arrival. Sometimes its character lives in a local ritual, a shared meal, or a subtle detail. I don’t spend much time trying to define a style. I see the way I see—clean, intentional, and drawn to what feels real.
My work centers on hospitality, tourism, and active lifestyle. I’m drawn to the reasons people travel, the moments that make a stay memorable, and the visceral experiences that make a brand feel like more than a product. I want the work to create a pull—to book the trip, take the run, gather around the table, or become curious about a world beyond what we already know.
After more than two decades, the work is still about people: the clients who place their trust in me, the teams that bring ideas to life, and the relationships that continue long after a shoot wraps. I take that trust seriously. I show up curious, work hard, and go further than expected. I want the people who hire me to know I have their back.
Home is Wisconsin, with deep ties to Utah and a passport that doesn’t get enough rest. Guitars are never far from my desk, and mornings begin slowly and methodically with single-origin coffee made in a Chemex. My wife and I homeschool our four kids—okay, she handles the hard part, and she’s amazing. I thrive on new places, deep conversations, and a good laugh. My wife says I have a healthy dose of FOMO. She’s right.
